You see they used to tell people who had antibodies that is was old infection...Now they know this is like Lyme...No longer true...

Hi Pinelady~ The above link to PAMF (Palo Alto Medical Foundation) shows a photo of Dr. Montoya, who is the director of that Toxoplasmosis lab. He recently spoke at the ILADS meeting on his HHV-6 research at Stanford. He's a great doctor and is working hard to figure out our illness.

Aww Too bad I have a OLD toxo result. Interesting stuff though..
PS Timaca thanks for the referral. I went in last week and did my blood testing. So far I like them there and they gave me a referral for a new OB as I was looking for that too.
Thanks Much Blessings

They are telling patients they will look at the old too. If your antibodies were high enough to do further studies I believe it qualify s.
What happened 20 years ago in a lot of people was they showed the antibody, then they did additional
studies and ruled it out based on results similar to what happened in Lyme...Now they are smarter...

What if you were tested, and treated for toxo? I was PCR positive by VIPdx, and negative by Quest. Treated with Daraprim and Zith for four weeks.

nspiker~ Either have your doctor call the toxo lab referenced above and get their opinion (they don't talk with patients) or have your doctor retest you at Quest or Lab Corp and go from there.

You call or email your results and they will tell you if you qualify....I know someone who has done this.
She had to have the further studies when in hosp.
They ruled it neg. I suggested she also get tested again.
After a challenge as in Lyme to help find the truth. And with a lab who is not stuck in the 80's.
