I went to a knew chiropractor yesterday and he said that if I wasn't taking antibiotic resistent probiotics then I shouldn't be taking any because the antibiotics would kill everything anyway.

Anyone have any thoughts on this or has anyone done research on this?

Thanks.
Michele

I think that's why it's timed...
abx than wait 2hrs and do proB.

Very interesting thought! Can't wait to read response

I agree with the timing. Also, I think it is better to give the probiotics to flood the playing field with the good guys instead of letting the bad guys get a foothold.

You can give Sacc. boulardii (a good yeast that keeps the bad yeast and Clostridia away) as well. Antibiotics will not kill it but antifungals will.

Florastor and theralac are both top rated probiotics and can be taken at the same time as antibiotics.

I've used Theralac and Florastor, but when the yeast got a foothold I had to switch to VSL #3, along with Saccharomyces Boulardi.

I've heard of the Teralac (but haven't tried it) and the Florastor (but haven't tried it due to having milk in it).

I have not heard of the Sacc Boulardi. Where do you get it?

That's not a good idea. You want to get the most benefit possible from your probiotics. Spacing them at least 2 hrs away from antibiotics is always a smart move.
