Insurance company denied IV Antibiotics last week (Insurance Company going out of business; appeal is not an option).

LLMD has now put me on oral Rifampin and Penicilln VK.

I have been in treatment with LLMD since April 2010 (after being misdiagnosed by my MD for 5+ years).

Have tried multiple oral antibiotic/s combinations; some slight relief; but not better.

1. Doxy (1 month prescribed by MD while waiting
LLMD Appointment)

2. Biaxon/Amoxicillian (2+ months)

3. Biaxon/Mepron (1 month-insurance denied
further Mepron)

4. Biaxon/Ceftin/Flagyl (2 months)

5. CURRENTLY ON: Rifampin/Penn (5 days so far)

Different pain every day (joints, aches, etc.); except sore feet seem to be consistant.

Feet not as sore this week after getting off Biaxon/Ceftin/Fagyl combo.

Feeling discouraged.

It seems as if the combination of antibiotics could be endless!

Do the different combinations ever end??

How does one decide what to do???

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thank you for your consideration, best, p.

After BC/BS denied me after 30 days, I was able to get free Rocephin from the drug co. I had to buy my own supplies, needles, syringes. saline etc. Google free rocephin for more info.

The sore feet is a big sign of Bartonella. The drug you are currently on, Rifampin, seems to have helped many. I hope to go on Rifampin soon.
