I have been on the shots for nearly a year. I was increased to two shots a week three or four months ago and Biaxin was added. I had seemed to do well for the first six months.

We are doing extensive repairs and clean out of our long neglected house. I wonder if that is triggering my symptoms....they have been much worse in the past two months.

Even my speech is slowing down and is difficult. Cognition and memory are terrible. I tremble with the least activity, am unbalanced and very tired and confused.

Should I bite the bullet and opt for IV meds? I hate to do it since I became dangerously septic with my port, my veins are horrible....I would get a shunt implanted on the side of my upper chest.

Does Medicare cover IV meds for lyme? If not, I probably cannot afford to do it.

My son thinks I will improve once the house is restored and clean. That should happen early next year. His family will move in with us and help us manage.

Who has been on Bicillin for more than a year? Is there hope at the end of the tunnel??? I would appreciate a PM if anyone cares to share their experience with me.

Bicillin is very good but dipends on your weight you need 2-4shots a week so you been for long time on a low dose. Also whenever in shots IM ore IV you must take cyst buster Flagyl or tindamax.
And yes you need to do exercise every other day but not alot of fizikal work .
Just bicillin with rocephin 3time a week make me symptom free for 2 months but I make same mistake as you did not take cyst buster with it and relapsed.

Not to derail too much, but what's the discomfort like with the shots? i was originally prescribed them but my healthcare declined to pay.

Dr. said it's really effective but your butt is sore for a day afterwards.
