I have had all of the above - ringing, fluttering, pulse. It comes and goes. I had the pulse the other morning, but it went away. I was on zithromax at the time. Are you on zith right now?

The pulse was a new one for me too - just recent as well. It was very annoying! Actually, anything with the ears is maddening. LLMD took me off zith b/c of ear problems and it did go away. I think zith can become toxic to the ears and can be a sudden side effect even though you've previously taken it for a while. maybe mention on your call...

Have you checked your BP while this is happening? I had this happen and when it did, typically my BP would be high.

I had this recently too, was on Zith too. I didn't make the connection, but I just went off Zith and I'm glad because I can't stand the ringing any longer, and sometimes I can barely hear.
I've been on it for very long periods of time over the last six years, and have always had bad ringing with it, but this is the worst yet. Been off it a couple weeks and it's getting a little less loud. That heartbeat sound was VERY annoying though, I totally understand what you are saying!!!
