Even tho I had a positive Igenex wester blot IGM, something just seems weird... I have been on diff. antibiotics for almost a year, mono therapy at first and now zith and ceftin togeather every day. Took flagyl for a month straight. Never had a herx. Never a real change in symptoms... Just muscle aches and a few twitches.

I am starting to wander if they are doing any good. I am almost done with my first month of ceftin/zith combo, going to give it a go for 2 months, and then am going to try a different abx or abx combo. No herxes, no real change in symptoms since starting antibiotics in general.

I still haven't tried magnesium. I need to. Maybe it is the root of my problems? But how could I come down with severe magnesium deficiency in a matter of days causing muscle aches all of a sudden about a year ago? And not going away since? I don't know...

Are you seeing a LLMD? What do they think?

Have you had testing done for co infections?

Most of us have more symptoms to a co infection and treat that along with lyme itself..

Myself and my dr. believe my co infection has always been worse and the main thing that's making me sick.

Do a search in here on muscle aches and pains... you'll find a lot of info.

Lyme, Babs, Fry Bug..... Whatever it is, may a treatment be discovered to make us all whole again!

I would be suspicious of Lyme with a positive WB. Maybe as mentioned, there are coinfections?

Maybe abx aren't the ideal treatment for you?

I don't know. I had a similar experience. I have been doubting that I "actually" had or have Lyme. My Western blot was considered negative by NY State standards. I had a clinical diagnosis. I took abx for 9 months & they didn't do anything.

If you go to LLMD - all they are going to see is Lyme. I think there are other causes of the symptoms that we are experiencing. What... I don't know.

Yeah I am going to a LLMD. C in MO. I have read that sometimes vitamin D is needed with mag to make it work so I am going to get some mag, and see how that works. If it doesn't seem to do anything I will add vitamin D to it and see how that goes with the abx.
