I have been in treatment three months now and have had more up than downs until recently.

I added flagyl to my protocol and could only tolerate about 3/4ths of a pill a day... I started feeling like I was going to puke every morning and my mouth was so gross feeling it just made me sick.

My LLMD told me to go off for a few days to allow symptoms to die down then start back up at the dosage I felt good at, which I have.

However, I have had a new symptom which started around daylight savings and the season change. I constantly feel sleepy... not so much fatigue but just sleepy... I work at a dealership and literally fell asleep in a car today for a couple min.

This sleepy tired feeling is more pronounced two hours after a meal and around 3 o clock... Its horrible! I just want to have some energy im just so sleepy ever since winter started moving in.

Thanks for the help in advance...

Ahodge,

I am sorry you are feeling bad. For some reason, 3 o'clock seems to be a bewitching hour for falling asleep. There is an explanation, I just can't recall it now.

It could be a fall in blood sugar after the lunch meal. (hence the siesta time in Mexico) I have to tell you though, your description of falling asleep in a car at the dealership where you work, gave me a visual that made me laugh out loud.

Sorry, it just sounded so funny. Hope you solve the sleep dilemma and you feel better,

Gael

Well, the only thing I can relate to is the sick feeling and fatigue.

A general malaise and I felt slow/tired; disinterested in everything. It would hit me shortly after I took every dose.

I couldn't take it. Not only did it upset my stomach, I just felt awful. I had no exacerbation of symptoms, and nothing felt better after 2 weeks.

Might be an indicator that my problems are more co-infection related at this point. Otherwise, if I have to use a cyst-buster again, I'll go with Tindamax.

And, it took about 2 days for me to regain my regular energy.

I'm the same way with the sleepiness. I can pretty much just crash anywhere. Especially if I'm not doing something active. If I'm working, or up cleaning it doesn't hit me as bad. But as soon as I sit down to watch that movie or TV show my husband and I have been dying to see I start having to fight it off.

I move directions, sit up straight, then lean, then straight, always back and forth trying to stay up. Sometimes it works, others it doesn't.

And I don't feel any better after a full nights rest or a nap, I still feel just as crappy and tired.

A little funny and maybe TMI but- When I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night I really wonder how long I sit there, because I fall asleep everytime. I'm going to time it next time to see, lol.

Littlebit - that is funnnyyyyy!!!!! Everytime!!??!! LOL.

Ahodge - maybe take a closer look at your diet to try to maintain your glucose levels so you don't crash. I'm not saying this is it, but maybe it's worth looking at.

I think a lot of my problems have to do with my sugar levels but I have no clue how to control them. I had to add more carbs to my diet because I was just so run down... Almost all my symptoms come on two hours after a meal...

I'll eat then around an hour and a half later be exhausted, anxiety will hit, face pressure will get worse and just feel crappy but not hungry, then sometimes as fast as it comes it will go and I'll feel fine again.

Any advice on what to do? My diet is pretty balanced, gluten free and mostly sugar free besides some cranberries or berries from time to time.

Thanks
Alex

After a meal allot of hydrogen is released in the gut and blood that is what makes us sleep.

Is more often when you have a big meal and eat 3 times a day ore less but at that time you eat allot.

Also can be from bad digestion and insufficiency of vitamins .

Vitamin B12 and B6 give you energy and make your sleep go away that is the reason they made drinks with this two vitamins so coled energy drinks that give energy and keep up and alert humans.

Take care

Maybe then you could try sublingual B12 at lunch, along with some B-6?
