Anyone tried Glucoaloemine from Xymogen or Intestimax?
Any other suggestions? What do naturopaths use?

UP! I've been meaning to ask this question too!

- First, be sure you are 100% gluten free - and dairy free. Corn and soy are also frequent offenders.
I can't comment on the specific supplements (just too tired to see what's in them). However, you asked what NDs use. Lots of links over here for you to consider: ----------------
Topic: L-Glutamine powder (pros and cons, and cautions for anyone with seizures or anxiety)
L-glutamine can be pretty effective to heal damaged tissue, though, in severe cases. If someone with a seizure disorder or anxiety has to use L-G, there are suggestions for how to balance out the hyperexcitatory effect - mainly with more magnesium). -

Guys, I don't if it's the same thing, but I was having problems with my stomach for a while. Just generalized pain and discomfort; taking a dump several times a day; soft stool and undigested food.
I started Nystatin a couple weeks ago, and it's like it resolved over night. Great stuff I tell ya.

If Nystatin helped you, then it's yeast related.
My candida titer is normal would you believe.

I do believe. Just an added note, I had a candida antibody test, and was negative as well. But, I don't know if it's the same thing.

One of the best therapy to get rid of problems causing leaky gut is elimination of DNA dysregulations by doing Allergie Immun. I don't think any treatment will ever be permanently successful while still allergic to major foods, all fungi, metals. When the body no longer can regulate these, the immun system is not able to deal with these foods or toxins and it is a constant stress for the body that stops healing dead in its tracks.
Then leaky gut can finally start to heal and malabsorption can end. As long as toxins can get back into the blood via leaky gut and reach literally everywhere, I don't think you can win. The dysregulations/allergies are a constant irritant to the gut until eliminated. That goes for foods, fungi/candidas, metals, and the many chemicals we have become allergic to. Many of them we are not aware of - only the final effect is bad.

Gigi, I am unclear on this. Isn't the mercury exposure incurred by having amalgams in the mouth going to cause the terrain problems in the stomach that lead to leaky gut, regardless of whether or not the body is allergic to the heavy metals?
My understanding is that the leaky gut is caused by mercury induced terrain problems. When the gut becomes porous, then the food permeates into the body cavities and then the body has an autoimmune reaction to the food that has leaked through. Thus, the food allergies.
This suggests to me that the leaky gut is what causes the food allergies. Your post seems to indicate the opposite--that the food allergies cause the leaky gut. I'm confused.

As all with Lyme, there are multiple factors that take us to the edge. Malabsorption for whatever reason is a major one. What causes what is not that simple to define. Nothing in medicine seems to be black or white. Lightening the burden is the major objective. Then things will turn around. Eliminating allergies is a major step --
One thing is certain: if allergic to a toxin, the body is not able to release it, because it does not recognize the toxin. It simply piles in more and more, leading to more problems. Hope the article helps to explain.
Take care.
