Hello

For the past three days when I inject my iv abx I am getting

an intense pain in my spine starting in my tailbone it goes all

the way up my spine into my head then causing head

pressure.

I have been on the same drug for 5 months. It is only with

The abx. The saline and heparin flush don't cause the same sensation.

It is a sharp shooting building pain. So weird!

The surgeon that put it in doesn't think it is a placement issue.

Has this happened to anyone? What is going on! I need answers.

Wow, this is awful.

I can only think of wildly unlikely scenarios that might possibly cause your symptoms. You've probably thought through the same.

I'll send you a PM.

I think you should talk to the dr who put it in.

Not trying to panic you, just a good idea to check stuff out.

Call or email your LLMD. Maybe the abx is hitting the Lyme in your spine? But right away?? Does the head pressure last? If so, look into Cranial Hypertension.

The surgeon said not line even if it was displaced it wouldn't cause spinal symptoms.

LLMD said maybe big herx maybe batch of abx?

I skipped last nights dose out of fear. I am so tired of this!

Rumigirl my spine pain has always been one of my major complaints.

My neck went out about a month ago and it was so bad my husband had to actualy dress me and put me in bed. I almost threw up and lost control of my you know what! I bent over and it was like being hit by a car.

I think after I recovered which was about a month, that was a big herx.

So my question is do you think it could immediately cause a spinal die off. I mean it literally starts as soon as the drug hits my system.

I really don't have an answer, but I remember when I got my port in (before that I had the same medicine through my veins), after the port was in I got a severe pins and needles feeling in my lungs and my head. This was only after this medicine and only when I had the port in. It did not feel right to me and I stopped the medicine. I beleive in my case it may have been a severe case of yeast, but I really don't know for sure.

Gosh yeast is an interesting thought but this is definitely neurological.

I have noticed everything is louder, the heppa filter, my husbands snoring.

I even thought I heard the toilete flushing and the washing machine going but it was like 2:30 in tha am.
