Most of my symptoms over the last 2 1/2 years have been neurological in nature. Boat rocking, head zaps, etc... I have also had neck and back pain and gastro issues.

Sometimes when my symptoms flair (seems to be a lot since starting doxy) My body just feels out of control and same with my mind. It just races and I fear that the lyme could make me go crazy and I will just snap.

I dont think of violence or anything, just a feeling of losing touch.

Anyone else deal with this.

I want to be able to drive without the feeling of blacking out. I cant even make plans with friends because my symptoms come on so fast I never know how I will feel from one hour to the next

When did you start treatment? Did your symptoms get worse with it?

Yep. I know how you feel. Sorry. All I can say is what I have been told.

Unfortunately, the only way out is through.

I don't remember who said it... those are wise words. [Smile]

May health be with you!

Toxic mold was suppressing our immune systems, causing extreme pain, brain fog and magnifying symptoms. Four days after moving out, the healing began.

How long have you been treating? I had a huge increase in symptoms when I started treatment but it got better after a month or so. Then more neuro symptoms came on which were the co-infections coming out.

You need to know what your co-infections are so that they do not take over. Bartonella causes insomnia and Dr. B says when the neuro symptoms outweight the physical symptoms, suspect bart.

But the boat rocking sounds more like babesia although you tend to want to sleep more with it. It could be you have both. I certainly did but did not realize it for a long time.

I believe when you get stuck in certain symptoms the antibiotic is not working. That could be because it is not effective against the infection that is really causing the problem. Or the disease just gets resistant. In my opinion, if you have been treating longer that three months with no progress, you need a change.

i am only at day 10 with doxy, but I have been going downhill for the last 2 months.

Its as if the anxiety and panic has begun to take over as much as the lyme.

I have considered asking my doc for some anxiety meds also but they scare me

Lyme disease causes terrible anxiety. It really sounds like you need something to treat that symptom.

Anxiety is an awful, awful thing. I had that racing mind. Every minute is a white knuckle ride. Torture. I took one anti-depressant pill (at "a ridiculously low dose", as the doc called it) and I woke up the next morning with just a NORMAL amount of thoughts. It was wonderful!! It was heavenly. My mind was at peace again. I will never forget that day. (Doc gave me zoloft, based on my experiences trying and being unable to take many other meds.)

Please ask the doc for something. You will be so glad you did. Life will be worth living again. It can change your entire outlook.

And, this, in turn, allows you to better fight the lyme and coinfections. So, it is good all around. And, it is temporary.

You have a very chronic severe illness and you should take care of yourself as such...

Don't push too hard---

Many of us get a lot worse before we get better---

It might take a long while but hang in there--it gets better.

It was a yr. before I saw a major turnaround.
