I was on Amoxicillin with what I thought was good effect for 6 weeks, and then my LLMD switched me to Doxy, which I've been on for about 5 weeks with somewhat good effect. He then suggested that I add back the Amox in combination with the Doxy.
I took one dose of Amox yesterday morning and within an hour I was WIRED. I could not concentrate and felt totally racy. The effects continued into the night and affected my sleep.
The doctor thinks this is a herx, that the die-off from the double-down abx were too much for me. But that does not ring true to me -- it's not what others describe as a herx, and it happened SO quickly.
Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this is a herx, or if this was just a poor reaction to the cobination? Has anyone experienced this type of herx, or a herx so quickly after taking antibiotics? I'd appreciate any insights you may have.
