So..every so often (like today), I get IBS like symptoms.
Here is what happened today....strong urge to have a BM..very strong, uncomfortable cramping. BM is more or less "normal" with some mucous. (sorry if TMI.)
Then more cramping...and a feeling of incomplete evacuation. I feel like I still need to go..but can't or there isn't anything left. So uncomfortable.
THis is followed by chills and some nausea which subsides within an hour.
Is this Bart? Or lyme?

Parasites. I had terrible IBS symptoms due to parasites and parasites can cause mucus in the bowel.
Humaworm hits bart a bit, too. I'd probably think about a round of Humaworm. If you're not starting abx till after the holidays, now might be the perfect time to start. But, it will likely make you feel bad because of the bart, so maybe not ......
Mucus can also come out when your lymph is draining. Skin brushing sites talk about that.

Thanks Six...I'll try Humaworm and / or Parastroy. Did your IBS / BM's increase in volatility while you were on them?
I have to travel a lot in January and don't want to have to constantly run to the men's room!!

No, I didn't have to go more. They increased in drama .... seeing stuff adds a bit of drama to your bathroom visits, LOL!
I didn't know about Parastroy, so I haven't taken it. I probably would have had I known about it. I switched things around a lot for parasite treatment. Humaworm hit hard when I had bart, just felt herxy.

I have terrible GI symptoms. Going to try parasite stuff as well as treatment for bart. No great advice really just wanted to let you know you are not alone.

I have been sick with Lyme for 10 years, just diagnosed 6 weeks ago. Started treatment right away.
Had IBS before I started treatment, and still having it, but now have yellow diahrea for about two weeks now. Pulsing Flagyl and think that is the cause. Just finished my two weeks of Flagyl so hope this calms down.
Anyone have this problem while on Flagyl?
