I recall TF stating repeatedly that her Babesia flares were 48 hrs long AFTER she started going after it with anti-malarials. She was basically incapacitated before taking Artemisinin during that bad period.
Right now, I am not treating Babs, but plan to hardcore soon.
I keep getting 2 day strings once a week and sometimes once every 2 weeks in which I feel horrid. Super tight head band feeling, bad fatigue, dry heaving a lot, eye pressure, anxiety, and more. BUT, it isn't provoked with treatment.
I'm never normal and always struggle, but it's like after a couple horrid days, the fog lifts and I have some life again. It's almost like a cloud just drifts away.
What I can't understand is if these bad days are the result of doing too much on good days or simply a pattern of a disease.
I could barely walk a straight line the last two days. I felt drunk. I slept until 10 AM, which is something I never do. Bad stomach pressure/bloating.
This is all just messed up! I can't STAND guessing. It makes me sick.

Are the 2-day strings of bad days exactly 7 days apart and 14 days apart? If they are, they fall on the same 2 days every week.
If that is what you have, then it CAN NOT be something that is a reaction to YOU "doing too much," can it? You would always have to "do too much" on the same days of the week to cause your body to respond with feeling bad for the same 2 days of every week.
Remember also that I had a very mild case of babesiosis. In fact, I would call it a subclinical case. I had no symptoms of babs. It was discovered through Igenex testing. It surprised my doctor.
I only got flares when I started treating the babs.
So, if a patient has babs symptoms all the time, they can expect to keep having them PLUS have babs flares weekly whether they are treating babs or not. You certainly don't need to be treating babs to have the babs flares.
But, during babs treatment, the doctor goes by the patient's report of flares to know how long to continue the treatment. When you no longer get flares, you are near the end of your treatment.
My flare would definitely "lift" like a cloud lifting. You could tell almost exactly the moment when it happened. It would dawn on me that I was starting to feel normal. And, in a few minutes, I would realize that the horrible spell had lifted.
If you are experiencing this, I think you can safely call it a babs flare.
So, it really seems to me that you are describing a pattern of the disease(s) that you have. Lyme doctors need patients to report these types of things. It is one of the key things they use to guide treatment.
The more patterns you notice, the more it helps the doctor figure out what is going on.

I also have the same thing., usually my symptoms flare every week, on friday and saturday mostly... then i am a little better although always very tired and almost unable to think and with exactly the same symptoms as you...I am also very tired of guessing, i have been almost planning to go to the best traditional healer in the world to guess for me what's wrong...

TF I honestly can't say I've logged anything down to the day so I can't answer your question. My gut feel is my bad days aren't always Monday/Tuesday, but it seems like bad times cycle weekly. None of my LLMDs, even the supposed best in the universe I see now, ever asked about illness cycles. If it's supposed to be of big help for LLMDs, I guess they're not seeing this.
I will say the fog lifting sensation is very familiar though. i can almost tell when I'm getting back to life again. it's scary.
The other certainty is when I push myself harder (i.e., do more activity around the house, any walking, etc.), I will suffer 2-3 days post exertion and suffer dearly. Muscle spasticity, air hunger, fatigue, etc. It's like my body is saying sorry your tank is EMPTY.
I get lots of left sided weakness too during this. The oddest thing is my breathing gets tighter and it's always like 1/2 my diaphragm is getting pushed on. Which 1/2 can change day to day and week to week. Scary. I just don't understand what's happening.
Shahbah, sorry to hear you suffer too from this. I sympathize. What traditional healer are you trying to see?
