So..met with LLMD today. Going to do 2 months of Doxy and Omnicef with Flagyl pulses. Should cover all 3 forms of lyme.

This will be my first bout with Omnicef or any type of drug. How have others' experiences been?

5/10 dx'd, after 3 months numerous test and doctors

IgM Igenex +/CDC +
+ 23/25, 30, 31, 34, 41, 83/93

Currently on:

Currently at around 95% +/- most days.

I did it with zith for 10 months during my pregnancy. It eliminated over 25 of my symptoms.

Good drug for lyme.

I know we have been talking and someone suggested that diana should take omnicef, since it is related to rocephin. Why does dr. h think you need to be on it?

Omnicef did nothing for me, though Ceftin helped (when I was starting to get arthritis, it cleared it up in a week.)

LLMD feels it's worth a try since I haven't been on a cell wall drug before and since my liver / WBC counts have been a bit out of norm lately. Omnicef tends to be a bit gentler.

I'm going to try it, but worry about wasting 2 months. I feel Bart is my biggest problem since I always herx on Rifampin / Rifabutin and never herx on anything else (yet.)
