I would like to hear from others your lyme symptoms and how you treat or handle them.
Mine are body aches, like ache to the bones, flu like symptoms, sinus problems, weird head feelings, they vary from day to day also anxiety/depression . There are some days I can be up and do a few things but most days in house and in and out of bed. I know I should eat better but I don't have an appetite and its so hard to prepare food.
I take bufferin for aches, xanax for anxiety, and my supplements and antibiotics.. Not sure what else to do . I do make myself go and do as much as possible but have had a terrible cold, sore throat, chest congestion so have been in bed the past week..
There are times I could cry and just give up , then I have days of sunshine and think I am getting better.
Only been dx about a month so not expecting a miracle but would love to feel well for the family during the holidays as I know you would also..

- To make yourself "go and do as much as possible" may be too much. You would not run on a broken leg, so why run with an infected and inflamed brain, etc.?
REST is vital. Absolutely vital.
In and out of bed is normal. I make the bed so during the day, I'm ON the bed and put my head at the bottom and cover with a separate blanket to distinguish day from night and rest/naps from real night time sleep. So, it's more up and down. It's a pattern that can help heal.
And expect ups and downs many times every hour. Flexible breathing helps. Notice the waves as they change but just stay steady like when you've been treading water amid waves. It gets easier to ride the waves. Really. Lie down before you fall down. Saves a lot of bumps, both literal and figurative.
Sadly, I think it is unrealistic to think at this stage that you will feel better for the holidays. Plan around it. Pace yourself and give your whole self the schedule and care you need. It is possible to still feel love and joy. That's what it's really all about. -

- Far beyond just how to suspect lyme, the first article below could also be used as sort of "owner's manual" - a "A Glimpse at the Land of Lyme" - at least in explaining a lot of what happens to a lyme patient. We're not in Kansas anymore. Lyme changes everything.
It is like we have a whole different body at times and it's not likely to change anytime soon so learning how to work WITH that is of upmost importance.
But, it can get better with treatment and good support measures. It can always get better. So, when you read this, go for the "ah-ha's" to solve the new puzzles your body faces. If fear sneaks up on you - know that it can get better. It just doesn't happen overnight. ------------

Thanks for your replies and info.. I think I have been pushing to hard. I am now suffering with a chest, head cold etc. on top of all the other symptoms.
Sometimes I feel I am still in denial. My family will never get it. I hate not to be able to baby sit, pick up the great grans and keep them but have learned to say no.. I feel so guilty bc my daughter is raising the little ones..Since she is all they have I feel I need and want to help.. But the rest helps more than the meds. Well may not but the more rest the better I seem to cope.
Yep, the holidays will come and go so not expecting to feel great nor will do much. Money for gifts and take out for food..
God Bless,
