Has anyone had this symptom? What do you attribute it to? Has anything made it go away?

I feel my son is almost well from lyme but he has two remaining symptoms...the colored spots and overly emotional behavior.

He still tests positive for parasites (ascaris and Filaria) so we are treating that with Humaworm. I hope that is the cause so we can get rid of it, as the only other thing that he is testing positive for through EDS testing now is candida.

My son especially notices the spots at night when we turn off the lights before bed. Sometimes he can see them during the day as well.

Thanks,

tickbattler

Yep, The parasites and the dieoff from them can cause these symptoms. I once had a whole discotech of colored balls of light in my living room before I treated for parasites.

They can also cause emotional problems. I read somewhere that a woman got rid of her bi-polar symptoms when she got rid of a tapeworm.

Just make sure he is moving his bowels and drinks plenty of water so he doesn't circulate the toxins. Your on the right track by treating him for parasites. Good Job Mom!!

Gael,
Thank you for your post. I do so hope you are right! I do have a feeling the spots are related to parasites, but he has been in treatment 2 weeks and they are not improved yet. How long did it take yours to go away?

He did have these spots before early on in treatment and they went away coincidentally with babesia treatment. So I assumed they were from babs, but now I think that it was the parasites since his babs treatment before included artemisinin, which he was on for a year (way too long I'm afraid)...but his spots did disappear for over a year after treating with artemisinin.

And he doesn't have babs this time around, so I was thinking parasites.

I really worry about the emotional behavior...it is so irrational. He starts crying if he doesn't score a basket in his basketball class at the Y. I am not going to put him in a league with his friends because he can't handle it, even though he wants to. The only sport he can do without having a temper tantrum is swimming. He has had irrational tantrums at school as well. It is not normal behavior. I really hope clearing the worms will help this.

Hi Tick

Has he seen an eye doctor? I have had crying spells a lot when getting rid of parasites, and I have heard others say the same. I am a grown woman and at the height (4yrs ago) of my herxing,

I was doing non stop crying and saying "I want my mommy" I don't know why this happens, but have seen others post about the same thing.

Parasites can take a while to get rid of. It took over a year for the different colored spots and to go away. I also had a lot of hallucinations.

BTW, 2 weeks is a spit in the bucket when trying to get rid of parasites. Thirty days and one round is ever enough with a bad infestation. Persistence is KEY. Keep us posted,

Gael

My son also had this. He saw colored spots at night and during the day, but mostly at night.

He also had the irrational behavior. He'd try to hold it in all day at school and then just meltdown when he got home.

The only time I now see the overly emotional state is about every 6 weeks and he hasn't seen the colored spots in a few months.

Gael - yes, he did see a lyme literate neuro-opthamologist in Lancaster when my son was seeing the spots 2 years ago. His eyes were normal and the doctor thought they were coming from his brain.

It really helps to hear that you had the emotional symptoms too...sometimes I worry that there was some permanent damage to his brain from all of the meds...I hope this is not the case.

momintexas - thank you so much for your reply. Sorry your son had this too but I feel better knowing that his symptoms have gone away. Do you mind sharing his protocol...I'm curious to know if you treated him for parasites or if he is on meds for something else that may be killing the parasites (such are artemisinin).

It is interesting that my son's electrodermal screening tests showed the worms were in his eyes, brain and lungs. It would make sense that they are causing these symptoms.

Thanks again for your replies,

tickbattler

Tick,

Watch for any "grit" coming from his eyes. They are probably the dried up worms/parasites. I had them exit my eyes. ears and nose after I started antiparasitic tx especially from the salt/c. He will get well when he gets rid of these pathogens. [Smile]

P. S.

Try not to worry too much because you are on the right path,

Gael

I had this after looking at lights. It is a neuro sign.

I also think you should treat everything...
