It started 10 days ago. At first, I thought I might have pulled a muscle. But, with time, it got worse, not better and now the pain is getting to the rest of the leg including the heel, and the other calf. I went to my rheumatologist and was told it is not a blood clot. I have been on Malarone and Zithromax for 2 1/2 months and I am beginning to think it's a side effect of one of the meds. Has anyone experienced this while on Malarone and Zithromax? It is really bad.

I had that when I was on steriods. Not sure if the drugs caused it or the bart or what.

My LLMD had me take TAURINE--up to 5 grams a day--for the horrific calf and foot cramps/pains I was having.

I'm down to 2 gm a day, and could probably get by with one.

Topical magnesium might also help with this.

Red flag for bart! Very common with bart. infection.

Did you rule out DVT with an ultrasound? Don't take someone's word for it, especially if you have any clotting issues.
