I don't even wanna google it. I know I'll freak if it says cancer or something.
This is the second time my phospherus have been slightly high. Once 7 months ago, and now my last blood draw.
I've done a search on Lymenet and nothing turns up.
Am I the only one?

How high was it?
Were your kidney function tests okay? (BUN and creatinine)
What about your calcium and magnesium levels? Were they okay?
It can possibly be related to hormones. I think I've heard that using too many enemas can cause it as well.

It was 4.6 (ref. range 2.2-4.5)
It was slightly high 7 months ago as well. I know it's not sky high.. I just worry.
I don't use enema's. My magnesium was normal. Calcium high end of normal. Everything else came back fine.

I don't really drink enough water. And I had a complete hysterectomy 4 years ago. Oh my BUN and Creatnine were normal as well. CBC panel was all good. I know I'm probably worrying for nothing. I'm just an anxious kind of person maybe.

I wouldn't worry too much if all other lab work was good and 4.6 is barely out of normal range. Some labs even list the reference range a little higher.
With all the labs we get, a certain percentage of the population will always fall slightly out of range. I think it is around 5%.

No worry if is near normal range and if other labs are normal . But check more frequently your labs. Things that can increase your phosphor are kidney not working good , bone diseases, vitamin (Vit D ), calcium disturbance and a lot of medications effect phospphor as some bowel deseases.

Insufficient hydration can falsely elevate or lower some lab numbers, including phosphorus.
