i've ben doing b-12 shots for months and they really help me...

but i'm out of b-12 now, and my LLMD won't write me a new prescription until he sees me again...

i am totally broke and have no idea when i'll be able to afford an appointment.

i've decided to just take b-12 supplements for now. i'm just have no idea what amount to take...

That is pretty lame on the behalf of your doctor. Usually they will write you for atleast 6 months worth. Why dont you schedule an appointment and then ask for the refills? If its regular cyanocobalamin any primary doc should be able to write that as well if you have one you can go to that is covered. Best of luck with this, it is so easy, it's a shame they are giving you a hard time!

he wrote me 5 months worth...

i was supposed to see him in august, but then i was robbed at gun point in my garage, and long story short, it's put us in a huge financial bind... so i had to cancel my appointment.

i am afraid to reschedule, because my husbands job could be transfering him across the country soon... im worried there might be a fee for cancelling twice... you know how these places are :/

im just hoping my husband transfers soon, so i can find a doctor who is a better fit for me in another state.

thanks keebler... i will check it out!

OMG, kellephant! How are you doing now?

I hope your husband's transfer went as planned and you're happily settled with a new LLMD.

Please let us know!

Each case is different, but my LLMD has me take Vit B12 liquid 1,000 mcg, 1 ml once per week.

My LLMD not me not to worry about taking too much because one could practically bathe in it without overdosing. It's not like the other B vitamins. We agreed on this dose based on my blood work, general health and a desire to be frugal & wise with supplements.

Always do your own research though, I'm not a health pro.
