if you have diverticulitis, which i do, can you take any colon cleansers or parasite cleansers, such as humaworm, etc?

I would be careful to avoid physical cleansers that "scrub" the colon with ingredients like psyllium. This might cause irritation to the sensitive areas in your colon and lead to a flare in diverticulitis.

If you really want to do a cleanse you might opt for something like mag oxide that will basically liquify the waste build up in your colon and flush you out. My LLMD has recommended PoopDoc colon cleanse to me when my constipation issues flare. You can check it out at www.poopdoc.com I know it's a super stupid name but it will clean you out if that's what you want.

I really don't know if the humaworm parasite cleanse might trigger a flare for you. They do include very strong herbs that have the potential to irritate the colon but it is hard to say if it is enough to hurt. Are there any Naturopaths or holistic MD's in your area that you could consult with? That would be great.

Diverticulitis is a common problem so maybe someone here has tried these cleanses and can share their experience with you.
