a couple here

how do you know you have yeast or not? i have white hairy film on my tongue however my gf has the same thing on her tongue and she is never on abx. also ive had lots of gas and some stomach discomfort which isnt typical. i also feel like crap but that could be the lyme. does this mean i for sure have yeast or is it something else?

also what are the best treatments for this? im currently on probiotics, no sugar diet, nystatin, diflucin, ole. any other ideas and any idea when i might start feeling a little better?

I use GlyOxide, it works for me. I get it at CVS when my tongue feels rough. I am sure other YEAST experts will give you more advise.

It's kinda like lyme .. if you have the symptoms, you treat.

How long have you been on Diflucan?

Which probiotic are you taking?

Are you eating carbs like bread, pasta, white rice?? Eating sugar free candy or cookies??

I beat candida with a strict diet, oil of oregano, parasite cleanse, & garlic.

I now take Olive Leaf to make sure it doesn't come back.

Imo it's very beatable. But you MUST learn the diet portion.

I mean I avoided everything that fed yeast (starches, tapioca starch, unrefined cane sugar, sugar, maltodextrin, dextrose, sucralose, whites, flours)

Sugar alcohols are OK for diabetics, but not good for those trying to get rid of or avoid yeast. Sugar alcohol is still sugar, but does not raise BLOOD SUGAR as much as regular sugar.

(I found that out the hard way too.)

Next time you buy a probiotic, consider THERAlac instead of Threelac. I think you'll get better results.

Good.. I'm glad you are a bad speller!! [Big Grin]

I would think the sugar alcohols could feed the keets too. I was eating that stuff while going through treatment until my naturopath clued me in.

Have you tried 'oil pulling?' Do a search on lymenet. There's quite a bit of info on it. I use Flora brand sunflower oil. I have to order it on the internet. It should be cold-pressed and unrefined. Some people use sesame oil.

It really cleans up the mouth, helps dental problems and pulls toxins from the body.

I do it every morning on an empty stomach.

I called dr R this morn and the receptionist said she would call the pharmacy with something today for me. What i dont know?

I use VSL3 (425 billion bacteria) and culturelle that the doctor suggested and no sugar or carb diet.Could it just be the abx? I never have this problem.

Yes, it's probably the ABX but if you are bleeding you should probably see your GYN just to be sure nothing else is wrong.

If you are following a no yeast diet and taking probiotics chances are you already had candida in your system to encounter a problem like this so early on.

Also, without proper testing you really can't tell whether or not you have intestinal yeast, unless you have had that tested.

Most likely your doctor is calling in a script for diflucan but you would be best served to ask these kind of questions. The more information you have, the better.

Junkyardwily, try putting grapefruit seed extract on your toothbrush and then a good natural toothpaste and brush your teeth and tongue. Use a tongue scraper, too. After you rinse put a few drops of oil of oregano under you tongue.

A few hours later empty a capsule of acidophilus onto your tongue and let it sit there a while before you swallow. It should help clear up the nasty tongue thing and keep doing it until you see improvement.

It's a good idea to always use GSE on your tooth brush. It helps keep your gums and mouth clean and healthy.
