I was getting some bad heart palpitations in conjunction with a miserable GI/respiratory virus last week, but noticed that they would calm down as soon as I tooked my magnesium.
I upped my dose of mag-tabs from 3 a day to 4 a day. Palpitation problem is resolved, but now I have a very dry mouth and throat. I haven't changed anything else, so I'm thinking it's the increased dose of magnesium causing the issue.
Anyone else ever run into this? In searching this forum and elsewhere online I see that magnesium deficiency can cause a dry mouth, but I'm not seeing anything about too much causing a problem.

When you use mag for GI stuff, its supose to pull liquid to your GI tract to help things move along. So now that liquid is not in other places of your body-- ie, mouth, throat. Drink more water :-)
