Is minocycline a good med for lyme, I have been on tetra, biaxin, doxy and now my llmd wants me to do bicillan shots, I am scared to start them as I just started rifampin again and am having a hard time on it again. She says I am out of oral options, I think she is wrong. Any suggestions what other oral med I can try. Has anyone tried im rocephin or omnicef? thanks Diana

I was on Mino but could not tolerate it. But it has worked for others. I guess ramp up slowly if you do since it can make you very dizzy.

I've taken Doxy, Amoxy, Zithro and Omnicef.
So far omnicef seems to be the most effective and best tolerated.

Mino is very effective and is excellent at pass the BBB but some find it difficult to tolerate. Rocephin does not come in oral form, only IV and IM.
