I was diagnosed with Lyme last June (went about two weeks between first rash and diagnosis). I took 60 days of Doxycycline and ended up stopping in early September.
A few days after stopping the Doxycycline, I developed a motor tic (not a twitch) in my abdomen and lower lip.
The lip went away with few recurrences but I started developing a motor tic in my legs and feet in early January.
I was sent to LabCorp for a PCR test which came back negative and Lyme was dismissed.
I got a referral to a Neurologist and I will be getting an MRI to check the lower thoracic and lumbar spine for issues (which the Neurologist has said can be the cause of stomach and leg tics).
Right now the diagnosis stands at transient tic disorder unless the results of the MRI show something else or the tics last past september (at which point the Dr. would change it to chronic tic disorder -- having motor tics unceasing for a year).
Has anyone had issues with motor tics as a result of lyme? Could this be lyme-related?

Yup. Tics are classic for lyme and bartonella. If you didn't have this before you were bitten, it certainly sounds like you could have it.
Mainstream docs and tests won't help. YOu need an LLMD in your area to do a better test and give you a proper diagnosis.
The Neurologist will tell you you are fine.

Yes, lyme and coinfections can cause tics.
My son got tics in his face... eye, lip... got worse when a primary care put him on prednisone... turned into full body involuntary convulsions.
I just did a search of the forum... here are a couple of older posts on the subject:
