I started Biaxin last week and it is "kicking my butt!"
I have every intention of staying on it until I see some improvement. But, my goodness, this hurts!
Is there an actual average, since most people have varying degrees of infection?
I also added tindamax (as a flagyl alternative) and malarone last week, but at smaller doses than I should be taking.
Biaxin seems to have affected my emotions as well, since I've been crying almost non-stop for the past few days. Not from the pain, just spontaneous crying and whimpering, and feeling really depressed.
I've had Lyme for four years, so I have alot of bug killing to do. I suspect this is probably adding to the increased headaches and other pains.
When you were taking Biaxin, how long did your herxes last?

I started it and herxed the first day. My herxing was tolerable, and lasted less than a week. I am just about 100% after being on it for four weeks, with Suprax. Hang in there it's a good one !!!
