I am unable to take macrolides (Zith/Biaxin/Ketek) and am wondering if Mepron can be taken with Clindamycin instead of a Macrolide.
I am on Malarone but its doing nothing and am looking for options that can be used with Mepron

Wouldn't be as effective. Not sure they can even be taken together.

Clindamycin can be taken with Mepron. Unfortunately my LLMD told me that Mepron must be taken with a macrolide to prevent resistance.
Can you take more Malarone? Or only pulse Zith once a week or so? I don't know how often you'd need to take the macrolide to prevent resistance.

I am on Mepron/Zith, and was wondering the same thing, because I have IV clindamycin for seven days a month. Thought maybe clindy would do the same as zith, but I guess not.
My LLMD just had me reduce my zith to 1/2 pill every other day. I felt better on 1/2 pill once a day, so have kept with that.
