Im scared of c-diff!

I was on nothing but Doxy for a while, my dr just started me on Biaxin XL last week. Since starting, my stools have become soft, i go about 3 times a day, and i have some slight cramping in between going.

Im wondering if it sounds like c-diff or if i am overreacting but i cant think of anything else that would cause a change in stools like this, especially for me.

Thanks in advance.

Im taking That S Boul.. stuff.. and Probiotics.

I looked up Biaxin XL for you on the internet. The first site that came up listed diarrhea as the first side effect of biaxin.

Here is the site:

I'll bet if you check the package insert, it also tells you this. So, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Based on what you said, I think C. Diff is a lot more severe. Going way more than 3x a day.

But I have never had it thank goodness.

You can always have a stool sample checked. Usually its 3 samples one a day for 3 days,

I work in healthcare. C-Diff has a very distinctive foul odor. You would know.
