No one can guess how long you have had Lyme Disease. It could be 2 weeks or 20 years.

I'm just saying, no one can tell how long you have had it. The test don't reveal the length of time you have been sick. You should have an idea of about the time when you became ill.

No test can tell that. Only by how long you've felt sick probably and even then I bet the bugs can fester inside, multiply and then one day demolish us.

Only thing that can help are bands 31 and 34 which typically take at least a year to show up. So if you are negative on these bands, it means it is a shorter infection (I was positive.)

Since you were Indeterminate on band 31, you could get further testing (31 epitope test) to determine length of infection. I had it done and it costs an additonal $100. Mine came back negative so it wasn't helpful to me, but it is supposed to bring it up to 95% accuracy.

I would agree with bcb1200 on it being less than a year due to 31 & 34 not registering. Doesn't mean its not longer the way the LB can hide from the immune system.

Interesting...my 31 and 34 are negative too, but my CD 57 was low 48, I wonder too how long I had this infection. I suspect mine hasn't been that long, but it is hard to tell because I was pregnant (had a m/c) so not sure what was related to pregnancy vs. lyme. Good info though.

Tricia--our results are very similar. For the IGM I had 18++, 23-25+, 39 IND, 41++ and 83-93 IND. On the IGG the only + band I had was for 41. Interesting. What are your symptoms?
