Kevin Trudeaus interview with the founder of the Quantum Nutrition Center, Dr. Bob Marshall.

Why magnesium stearate and stearic acid are hazardous to your health!

http://bit.ly/gcJaiU

Also, a good article I have in my notes on the subject of the Hidden Hazards of Vitamin and Mineral Tablets

http://chetday.com/vitaminhazards.html

My list of ingredients to avoid

Micro Crystalline Cellulose

Carboxy methyl cellulose

Hydroxypropylmethyl Cellulose Phthalate

magnesium stearate

calcium stearate

zinc stearate

stearic acid

talcum powder

sodium benzote

methyl teradin

Still looking for an article in the Pharmaceutical Bulletin of Japan - 2009 - stating the dangers of the stearates in supplements.

These additives promote the production of fermaldahide within our bodies.

I wish I knew this BEFORE I bought all the supplements I have!

While I would not count on Kevin Trudeau to have the last word on everything he writes, there are others who do agree with him on this point and it's an important message. However, he is not a doctor so you might want to compare notes at at sites such as:

 Dr. Mercola's site: www.mercola.com and

Dr. Andrew Weil's website, too, at: www.drweil.com

Still, supplements can often be returned if you have ANY problems with them. Just call ahead or contact each company's customer service director directly. Return policies do differ but I've found most companies to be very reasonable if my reaction was totally different than what was to be expected for any reason.

While I'm not sure about all KT writes, I do agree with him that it's best to avoid additives in a supplement. Organic sources are also best. It's also good to be sure supplements and Rx are gluten free and free of aspartame.

The only thing I trust good ole' Kevin Trudeau for is knowing he is trying to make a buck off the ill.

I nearly deleted this post when I saw the first comment on Kevin... I realize his reputation. I am not condoning what he has or has not done.

I only wanted to post an informative thread on additives to supplements that are may or may not be harmful so people buying supplements can look for these and make informed buying decisions.

I am not saying to buy anything from anyone. The radio interview is free and informative. I have an easier time listening to information than reading.

The article below that has a more complete list of additives. For those who learn better reading.

Can we stay on topic and stop bashing the messenger?

Lymetoo,

Silicon Dioxide is SAND

It's anti-caking agent.

I don't think it's harmful - some people dissolve it in water and get some mineral and silica benefits from it.

Some will say avoid it though
