OK, mind if I update?
My daughter, 14, has had lyme & bart for 8 years now. She's treated w/ LLMD for 11 months, mostly for Bart. Most recently she's been on Bactrim for 6 months then added Rifampin and Zith for the last 3.
DD is now having liver/kidney issues - overloaded with sulphates and bile/toxins, not detoxing correctly, increased fatigue and brain fog.
We just started working with a wonderful homeopathic RN who is having her do cod liver oil packs and various bile duct flushes over a few weeks. DD just did the first flush today.
She's also putting her on kidney support, adrenal support, enzymes, all Standard Process.
She's also taking Sparga by NutriMedix to help detox the sulphates (probably from the Bactrim).
DD has not been on abx for about 4 weeks now and is having Bart symptoms returning. Sleep issues, moodiness, sore shoulders, lower back pain, etc.
I am hoping to keep her off antibiotics at least until liver/kidney issues resolve. Best case would be she would stay off abx until I take her to Germany this summer for treatment.
Any recommendations as to what I could put her on (herbs?) to keep the Bart at bay while she's off abx.? At this point, it would have to be gentle on the organs.
Advice?

Nutramedix Cumanda got rid of bart in my family of 5, as far as we can tell. EDS testing showed it was gone. Samento hits it too. I would recommend taking both of those...need to ramp up very slowly - they are very powerful. Abx helped bart symptoms in us but didn't get rid of it, even after 2 years of treatment. The Nutramedix stuff worked in less than a year.

Thanks tick battler!
Do you think Cumanda would be safe while she's having this liver/kidney issue?
I mean, when this RN heard I was willing to stop abx, she said, "Good, that'll make this clean-up much easier." So I'm wondering if the cumanda would make the "clean-up" harder as abx would?
I know that's a big question. Don't worry, I won't take your insight as a doctor's advice. But I sure would be interested to hear your opinion/experience...

Didn't you recently get EDS testing done? IF so, you might call that practitioner...is this the RN you are talking about? Our EDS practitioner can put a med or herb on the machine and test it with your body to see if it would hurt her kidneys, etc...
I think these herbs are much easier on the body than abx (our experience) but I don't know if it would aggravate an existing problem.

tb, yes we did have EDS testing done. I'm talking about a different practitioner now.
It would be nice to we could test the herb for her kidneys, but the RN who did the test said she would see dd again IF she did the full cowden protocol with her.
After that initial visit, I decided to find another practitioner as I was a complete mess (constant crying, scared, confused, etc.) for days after I left her office. I chose not to work with someone who "undid" me like that.
The RN we see now is giving me incredibly helpful info, positive support, a sense of peace and hope - the good stuff.
Well, I'll contact this RN (the one we're working with now) and run it by her. And I'll be sure to start real slow.

Does your RN do any kind of energetic testing? Muscle testing or ART? Do you have access to this?
My son is starting Bar-1 (Healthy Directions) tomorrow... on the advice of his NP. He tested really strong for it. I have high hopes.
We do muscle testing once a week... and I intend to learn how to do this testing myself. Either with a tensor or ART testing.
I just have to get myself a little better first.
I agree with you on the lady who said you had to do the entire Cowden program through her for her to continue seeing your daughter... that would creep me out.
My NP doesn't care where I buy my supplements... if I buy from her office, fine. If I find it cheaper elsewhere fine. If I bring in my own stuff to test... she tests it all. No extra charge. And she always books me a double appointment because we have a lot to test - but I pay the same rate as everybody else.
