Niacin causes flushing. Niacinamide doesn't but sometimes if it has been contaminated with niacin, it will.
Niacinamide is good for nerves, repairs synapses. It helps with brain function. It is "promising" for delaying the onset of diabetes 1 caused by destruction of the beta cells - an autoimmune condition.
What was your reaction? If it was flushing with lumps all over your body it could have been contaminated with niacin.
