What exactly does it REALLY do? Is it worthless like people say
Ive read its only BACTERIOSTATIC. so it slows down growth. But does not do ANY killing. does it only slow down growth during monthly cycles? what exactly is the strength of it when it comes to treating lyme
i tested positive for lyme a whole year ago and was put on doxy 200 mg a day from my primary care doctor for 6 months. It obviously didnt do any good. but how much help did it really give me?
i started getting so sick in sept of last year and my cd 57 is 20

I have been on low dose doxy for almost a year and a half. It has helped me more than any other antibiotic. This was however, after being treated with other antibiotics and treating slightly more aggessively.

I had the same question about bacteriostatic vs bacteriocidal. I believe that the Burrascano guidelines say that Doxy will kill spirochetes if the dosage spike is high enough, which I think is the guidelines say the minimum dosage is 200 mg 2X/day. I'm up to that right now and have been for a few weeks. Seems like it's helping, but VERY slowly with very light herxes.
