I have been feeling SO much better in the past month. I have lingering pain in my elboys and I still have muscle fasiculations but that has been it....until yesterday.

Yesreday I felt like I was coming down with a cold, today it is gone, now My chin feels like it is BURNING!!! My ears hurt and I am getting random pain thoughtout my body. I have started zithrimax 4 days ago. I am not itchy. I just don't feel good.

My husband assures me my chin and lower part of my face is not hot. I use to get this all the time in my legs. I had to take xanax to calm down.

Does this sound like it is all coming back??? a herx reaction??? If it is the latter how bad is it going to get. I am scared.

Focus on your good days, the bad days will become fewer. Sounds like you are herxing to me if you just started zith. Four days in is right on target, take a nice epsom salt bath, drink lots of lemon water and whatever you can do to detox...God bless!

I never had those symptoms but it is probably a herx. Check side effects of Zithro at drugs.com to be sure it is not a side effect.

There are so many ups and downs treating lyme and co's. It is very scary when we slip backwards because it sometimes feels like we are going to hit rock bottom again. More than likely this is just peeling away another layer of the infection. I hope you get through it quckly.

The timing is right for a herx.

Just start expecting that any time you start a new medicine, you are going to get weird lyme symptoms back. That's the way it is.

It doesn't mean you are going backwards. On the contrary, it means your treatment is working and lyme is being killed.
