A co worker of mine has been ill for about a year. She hasnt felt good and shes getting weird rashes and marks all over her body for a whole year as well and they wont go away. shes been checked for parasites she says and has had TONS of thorough blood work. no one knows what it is. Shes been checked for her lyme by her PCP and they said it was negative (hmm havent we all heard that before....)

she has a dog who sleeps in her bed everynite so that increases her risk of TBD. she was really sick last month. she had dizziness . she couldnt get up without getting totally dizzy. had more rashes on her body. she just kept saying " i feel sick as a dog "

then her PCP gave her 2 weeks of antibiotic (believe it was keflex) She told me shes "allergic
to every antibiotic besides keflex. if you ask me I think she herxes on every antibiotic but keflex. its my understanding that keflex doesnt treat lyme rite.... after 2 wks keflex she felt better. now shes doin alot better. what happened? I truely believe she has a TBD. but why did it go away like that? I believe it will come back again. shes been pretty good for a month now

Keflex is not a good choice for lyme. Why did the pcp give her abx at all? You are probably right when you say she is herxing vs. allergic. who knows though. Maybe you can talk her into getting copies of her lyme test so you can look at them or ppost the results. Alot of doctors read the results as negative when infact they are positive or have indicators.

That would be my suggestion

Maybe it's bartonella.

But... I'm just going by symptoms not that Kefex works against it. I doubt that it does.

Merrygirl is right about the testing!!
