Hi!
I was wondering what experiences everyone has had with HHV6. I just recently added it to my pile of coinfections.

I have felt like I have the flu for a couple months now.

From my searches on here, it seems like it is another one of those things that are difficult to target and get rid of. What would the most effective treatment be? Oil of Oregano?

What are the hallmark symptoms of it? It's hard to sort out all the problems out between all the co-infections. Is it mainly flu-like symptoms?

I have high HHV-6 titers...along with a bunch of other viruses.

I have no idea how to tease out what symptoms are from viruses vs bacteria.

I am on Valtrex. I know it's not specifically for HHV6, but hopefully it will knock down some of the other stuff so that my immune system can take over.

I have heard many people in the Lyme support group say they treated it with Valtrex.

Ok, good to know. Would you herx on Valtrex? Or is that different because it is viral and not bacterial?

I take Researched Nutrionals Transfer Factor PlasMyc because I have a bad reaction to Valtrex.

I also take a scoop of Lauricidin per day.

Those seem to help. I went from high titers to slightly high titers.

HHV6 can make you feel flulike.
