Well, I'm really full of questions today.

If you become symptom free, and then off abx, and relapse 6 months later, do you think it's because I wasn't treated aggressively enough?

If you are symptom free-does it mean the buggers are dead, or just beat down, but still hanging around?

Wondering whether to change LLMD's-my DH feels if this one got me well once, I should stick with it.

Hey beths!

Did you effectively treat all co-infections and did you also use a cyst-buster at some point as when you attacked them, they protected themselves by converting to the cyst form.

And...were you symptom-free for at least three months when you stopped the meds?

currently on oral plaquenil, doryx, rifampin, pyrazinamide, nystatin, numerous supplements

I would look into coinfections, starting with Babesia if you haven't been treated for it and have symptoms of Babesia and/or intense symptoms. Babesia is the fastest growing coinfection at this point, and many people report marked improvement after treating for Babesiosis.

I was on bactrim for a year, and I rotated in malarone.

I used tinidamax 3 days/month for about 6 months.

Is that all you had for babs was the malarone? No zith along with it?

I took one week of malarone/zith, then 1 week bactrim/zith for almost a year, then pulsed that for another year (1 week a month).

Hard to say for sure. Either way, if you feel good that is a big plus!

Sounds like you received pretty good treatment. Maybe you could PM the dosages to me??

I think your dr could get you well again.... What are your current symptoms?

Did you take Malarone for only one week? From what I undersand, Babesiosis needs months of treatment.

Maybe it would be better to treat Babesiosis continuously?
