You can herx on any antibiotic. You have to look at a herx as a 'good' thing. Means you're treating it.
Each abx (antibiotic) will give you herx's... some will work on you better than others. We all have to find a drug that works with our bodies and what we can handle.
You will find that you'll have herx's in cycle's. One way to really keep track of them is get a calendar and mark down how you feel each day. Then you'll see a cycle form and you can 'maybe' be ready for them.
Some will last for days, some will last for hours... there's no set herx for anyone ever.

Not everyone herxes on every abx
A herx is from die off of bacteria. A ton of people assume verytime they feel terrible it must be a herx, not so.
I personally have herxed max 4 times in 4 years. I have been on all kinds of combos, i didnt herx on every med. Look at it this way, when you first treat lyme you have tons of bacteria to kill. So one would expect a herx then. But as time goes on, you kill more bacteria, so in theory you may herx less and less because there is less bacteria dying....
You also dont herx as soon as you swallow a pill. it can take a little time. when i first started doxy in the very begining, it started on day 3 and full blown herx from hell till day 10 when i got admitted to the hospital.
Also it is common to flare up with symptoms once.a month because thats when the lyme bacteria reproduces ( i may have said that wrong)
I just think that people are way to quick to call everything a herx. You will have bad days, that are just bad.because you have lyme. This is just my opinion.
I hope you start seeing improvement asap!

I started the Zithromax yesterday & i feel horrible today.. I think i may be herxing.. im having alot of pain in my back i dont usually have

As Mattnapa writes, ,y main side effect was ringing ears -- it was pretty loud and apparently over the long-term this can become permanent. So pay attention for this one.

I am on zithromax for two weeks and had no herx at all. It is just bugging my stomach a bit with nauseau? It can cause tinitus and dizziness but that is my main lyme complaint so I wouldnt notice!!
I also take omnicef for 3 months. That I had an affect the first week but it passed.
