Please share and when you do, please add the "real name" of Dr. J so the letter makes sense. Thanks!

March 10, 2011

Dear Friends,

Children are at the highest risk for contracting the debilitating Lyme disease, and are also the one most vulnerable to its effects.

Often going misdiagnosed in the early stages, children can suffer complications from Lyme and tick borne diseases like seizures, crippling arthritis, and developmental disorders. With proper treatment, though, even the most severely afflicted can go on to live healthier lives.

For years, Dr. J' has put everything on the line to help our children regain their health. Now in his eighties, he still dedicates his life to protecting the most vulnerable among us.

One of a small handful of physicians in his line of work, he puts in an incredible number of hours each week with the mission of preventing the suffering of sick children.

His dedicated efforts have come at great cost to him and his colleagues. Dr. J has had to brave the rigors of deeply fractured medical community, in which most do not understand the nature of the condition he treats.

Children often fare better against chronic Lyme disease than do adults when they receive proper treatment, but with the complex cases he sees on a daily basis the treatment often needs to be comprehensive and long-term.

For those reasons, much of Dr. J's money has been spent defending himself from spurious charges brought by those who support not treating these sick children in spite of the overwhelming success Dr. J has had with them.

His practice has been severely strained by the years of legal maneuvers he has endured simply to keep his doors open to all who need him. He knows our children must have competent care and continues on and we realize we simply cannot afford to lose such a valuable resource.

Let's make sure that this dear man and wonderful doctor, who does what so few can and would be willing to do, yet which for him brings the highest joy, is able to keep providing the children medical care while he safeguards the next generation.

On March 14, 2011, Dr. J will be 82 years young! If you could find a way to contribute to his legal defense fund, any amount you give will be greatly appreciated!

All donations to the legal defense fund should be made via check payable to:
