My friend's little girl is having consistently raised amylase pancreatic enzymes. Doctors have ran tests but have no answers for the family and the Docs appear to be "giving up" since they are clueless.

Needless to say the family is very concerned and worried.

The Mom and little girl are pursuing LD but first LLMD appt isn't until the end of the month.

Is this a sign/symptom of Lyme or a coinfection?

Anyone else have the same thing?

I have no idea if this is a symptom of lyme or inflammation caused by lyme/autoimmunity. My pancreatic enzymes have been elevated for years,
and despite recently having my gallbladder removed, they are still elevated.

It could be genetic, as there is testing to indicate if that is the issue. Sorry, I don't have an answer, but I am still trying to find an answer myself.

I have heard that more llmds are seeing raised pancreatic enzymes with lyme patients.

i always had elevated consistently raised amylase enzymes and when i got off my valum my amylase fell right into the normal range for the first time in 2 years so i would check to see if there is any benzo use with your friend's little girl if so, then this is food for thought
