Watched a 2 hour Klinghardt video last night on Austism and HPU. He talks about Lyme in the entire video and says the whit spots on the nails is a dead giveaway.

Vitamin Diagnostics is gone apparently. I'm wondering if I should just treat this on my own. What are the dangers ?

You definitely have a zinc deficiency. And a zinc deficiency is the central issue to KPU/HPU.

The lab went thru a name change (and possibly ownership change?? not sure). Anyway, the lab is -- : Health Diagnostics and Research (formerly Vitamin Diagnostics) in Perth Amboy, NJ 732-525-3288 (I spoke with Rangeline) $70 for KPU (Doc has to set up an account).

Good luck!

You could self treat.....do high dose b6 as P5P (50 mg twice a day), one to two capsules of evening primrose or borage oil and if you dare add zinc. I can't bring myself to add this part of it yet bc it's a strong detoxer.

Are the White spots confirmation of HPU ? I need to know this first before I do anything.

My Dr. is not familiar with this, so I will have to do this on my own. Funny, as I already have most of the Supps here.

Gary - you saw the same 2 hour HPU / Lyme Induced Autism video that I did over at Planet Thrive. Dr. K says if you have the white spots on your fingernails you do not have to bother with the testing... you have the zinc deficiency.

He does not flat out say that you have HPU. He says you have the zinc deficiency.

I believe if you have the zinc deficiency you have HPU.

My son's LLMD wanted to be sure so she went one step further. She did all the non-invasive "Common Lab abnormalities" tests on page 7 of this document
http://www.klinghardtacademy.com/images/stories/powerpoints/hpu%202009.pdf

I have the white lines too.

So does my daughter.

I had 16 amalgams when I had my children.

Ya think I might have passed my mercury toxicity on to them... I think so.

Just curious, do you have amalgams?(mercury/silver fillings)

No Heather, thank God... Hopefully one less thing I'll have to deal with.

Well I have everything I need now. Made a trip over to vitamin shoppe today.

So, I will start tomorrow.

Not looking forward to the Zinc Nausea... I took Zinc one time before and only one tablet.... I got so nauseated then, so I'm sure it's coming tomorrow. I don't understand why we have to take it on an empty stomach, but so be it if it's going to help.

Nausea for 2-4 mos. doesn't sound like fun on top of everything else.

I tell you, the more I think about what he says, the more I think this has been my problem all along. My detoxing hasn't gone well and it might be because I can't detox. I hope this is the answer for me b/c if it is, it will be a way out, from the way I see it.

Gary

I hope it is the answer for you too. [Big Grin]

Make sure you are taking binders to get the mercury out. That should help with the nausea. Our general rule of thumb - if we feel nauseated, we need more binders.

If you don't mind could you answer a couple more questions?

Did your mom have amalgams?

Are you the first born son?

FYI, from my research, boys/men tend to have blocked detox pathways for mercury.

Ah -- I just remembered a conversation we had...

You played with mercury, didn't you?
