I started for ampiric babesia treatment around 4 weeks ago. It caused serious muscle pain and fatigue. I have received a report for last 3 months because of depression and I am going to start to work again after 10 days.

I have used bactrim ds 2x1,5 tbl artemisin cap 2x2. I have been using artemisinin 3 weeks on ,one weeks off. After I paused artemisinin, muscle pain and fatigue disappeared slowly. My babesia test is negative but I have some symptoms that lead me to be suspicious of babesia such as air hunger which decreased some degree with bartonella treatment and over sweating in the summer and profound psychiatric illness. I need to start for artemisinin once again tomorrow and I brood on how to start to work because of herx reaction that will be created by artemesinin.

I wonder that instead of continuing artemisin 2x2 capsule, I can take 1 capsule at nights and as herx reaction emerges less and less I can increase the dose of artemisinin more. Isnt it a more rational way?

Take a full dose of artemisinin becouse it leves the body fast and you dont wont to make babesia resistant to medication.

I take 2 art a day-split dose per my LLMD. I think the zith prevents resistance

If you don't take it regularly and in high enough dose, the babesia will become resistant to it. You should take it 2-3 times a day.
From what I have read you need to work up to a lot - 900 mg a day.

You might try adding grapefruit seed extract to your protocol. 10 drops in juice/water twice daily worked to kill our babesia. Prior to that, a year of bactrim, zith, Mepron and artemisinin didn't kill it in my children. They only developed an allergy to the artemisinin.

We didn't herx too much on the GSE, but did have increased night sweats with it for awhile until it lowered the level of infection. It also kills candida.

Thank you for every answers

My weight is 95 kg and I think 2x1 capsul is not enough for me. But if I start with 2x1 and increase the dose to 2x2 whenever herx loses its supress, can bactrim prevent resistence progress?

My LLND has me combining Artemisinin with CryptoPlus (Clinical Response Formulas) for Babs.

I attended Dr. B's CALDA talk in Santa Rosa, CA last week and he said that hypercoagulation is often the problem that interferes with Babs. treatment.

I'm on Heparin and Bolouke for hypercoag. Have you had a hypercoag. blood panel run?
