Does anyone know how much it costs for a Lyme test from Ingenx, Is this test the most reliable and affordable? I am from Ontario if it makes a difference in price. Thanks [Smile]

I paid about $200 (US dollars) for the WesternBlot IgM and IgG from IGeneX, but that was in 2007.

Judging from other posts here, the price may not have gone up much, if at all. You could call IGeneX and ask them directly - see http://www.igenex.com/ for their contact info. I wouldn't bother with email - tried that once and they never replied.

Good luck,

Call them and they'll be happy to send you a test kit, but you need a doctor to sign off on it. They might make you make for shipping since you're outside the US... I don't know and am frankly too tired to go look at their website right now.

The short answer to your question is yes, they have the most sensitive tests, although even their methods aren't anywhere near 100% accurate.

Affordable? No, but you get what you pay for.

I find Igenex the most reliable.

I was "borderline" with LabCorp

Igenex showed up positive for 7 bands.

--------------------
First Symptom 9/09
Multiple docs, negative Labcorp test
LLMD: 1/10
Positive Igenex/CDC test
Treatment 2/10
2/10-8/10 Amox, ceftin, zith, flagyl
Currently: Bicillin, Minocycline, still dealing with severe breathing issues
