Hi! A year after I got sick I started to get numbness in my toes (both feet). The podiatrist said it was either MS or pinched nerves. The MS got ruled out, so he said it was neuromas. The other spots where I had numbness and pain went away, but the one area. I can't wear heals anymore [Frown] . And if I do wear the wrong shoes, I feel it. It's like my two toes are stiff/numb and that I'm stepping on a rock. I know we discussed Bartonella with the heals, but can it cause this? Has it gone away for anyone?

I questioned if it was arthritis. Maybe part of it is, but my one doctor said arthritis doesn't cause that type of numbness.

i was dx with neuroma in foot...it is a pretty specific dx as far as i know

i had the surgery

i don't think it is normal what happened to me

it was awful-on many levels so i thinnk it was the doc

i woke up in the middle of surg but was paralyzed and couldn't talk but i felt them tugging at my foot-it burned bad and i couldn't scream or anything

that was horrible and if i wasn't so sick with lyme i guess should have been a lawsuit

then i went home...same day-in clinic not hosp-and in the night horrible pain-couldn't get help-i was alone

not sure how i finally got help but it turned out they had bandaged me too tight

it never helped th eneuroma pain either

once my whole foot was in nerve pain and a good podiatrist saw me every other day for awhile and got me over the acute phase. he also had me get good orthotics-prescrip-and i hav ebeen ok since

Question: are neuromas caused by Lyme and company? I've been wondering about that. A friend has neuromas, and I've wondered if it isn't from Lyme. (Don't mean to highjack the thread).

Bump

I've read neuroma can be caused by excessive copper.

I read of a story where someone cured their neuroma with Zinc - B6 - and B complex

(zinc antagonizes copper)
