Anyone do this? I am reading the book now (about half way through). A friend (who doesn't have lyme) did it and said it worked wonders for her.

I am at the point where I want to focus on strengthening my immune system. Just thought I'd see if anyone did this program while treating for lyme?

Hi Anna
I have never heard of this program, can you provide a link or other sources? I would be interested to read more.

See also this book: http://www.amazon.com/Natural-Therapy-Liver-Christopher-Hobbs/dp/1583331328

Or this one: http://www.amazon.com/Foundations-Health-Healing-Herbs-Foods/dp/0961847085/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1302096897&sr=1-1

Linda Rector Page, ND has good recipes for juicing and broths in her book Healthy Healing, which is a reference book in most healthfood stores. http://www.amazon.com/Healthy-Healing-Guide-Self-Healing-Everyone/dp/188433492X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1302097106&sr=1-1

I find this book invaluable to have around for self-care information. You can look up ailments at a glance and read on one page, about herbs, nutrition, foods, and bodywork (acupressure, massage, etc). And lots of info about nutrition and some good detox with juicing ideas.

I hope this helps.

Best wishes, CI

Hi CI--there is a website: www.cleanprogram.com . I also read some reviews on amazon that were positive. If you google Dr. Junger Clean Program you can find more info as well.

Thanks for the other links too!

Looks like a great book!

I love the video on the cleanprogram.com website

I wish there was a way to share the video on facebook.

I read the book, it it probably a great program but depends on how healthy you are. I had trouble with it but don't detox well at all, and have adrenal and heavy metal issues as well as lyme/babesia and who know what else. Had this for 15 years now.

For my health I took it too quickly and didn't do well. If your health is very compromised I would take it slow. Maybe start with gluten-free, then sugar-free, then 1 smoothie a day, etc. See how you do with each step before adding the next.

Here's my prior thread on it:

Great advice dogmom! That is my problem--trying to race through this and I realize that is not going to work.

I also have high mercury and lead. Waiting for test results on my adrenal glands

Trying to get an appt w/ a naturopath dr. to make sure I proceed carefully. I know I need some guidance in this area. Thanks!
