How does your body react after being on meds for so long once you go off?
Been off mepron almost a week. So far so good.
Although developed a nasty cold courtesy of co-workers, students. Of course that makes me think of no,,,i'm relapsing.
any advice would be great.

Yes, supposedly the immune system kicks in and reacts to everything that pops by.
What I've heard is that you continue to take the stomach support supplements, i.e. probiotics & floraster and to also be sure you are taking a really good multi-vitamin. As my LLMD's nurse says "you can't expect to get your daily needs in one pill".
It can take up to one year to fully stabilize after long term treatment, so they say. You still need to get your sleep, stay away from gluten, sugar and more importantly alcohol.
I'm so glad for you to be off meds.

Thanks for the info. All my students have the same throat, cold stuff.
Its good to know. It would be great to have a class on what happens after the meds stop.
