Anyone have any experience with this? I don't know too much about it yet, but I was very surprised to hear it came back positive.
Also i started IV doxy on friday for RMSF and I'm very itchy and I have these bumps all over me. They aren't big or red, so I don't think they are hives. They are the same color as my skin.
My doctor wants me to stop the doxy for a few days, but I'm scared to get worse. Any advise?

Brucella is a coinfection right? Found in European ticks? I didn't think they were testing much for it in the US. If no one replies, I can maybe put you in touch with Florida advocate whose daughter has brucella. Maybe she will read your post and help out. I have no advice but I wish you the best!

Hives are not always red, and aren't always big...they can be small, and they can be skin-colored.
If I were you, I'd try to stop the Doxy for a few days to see if the itchy bumps go away. Be aware that it may take a couple days for them to disappear if they are hives.
Also, you might want to check with your doctor about trying Benadryl or other antihistamine to help with the itching.
