My ART Dr. keeps telling me that I'm free of lyme/co-infections and have been for a while.

I keep having symptoms which will not resolve.

Lots of numbing/tingling (I did have several mercury fillings removed), neck pain, back pain, knee pain and upper thoracic pain.

I've had a few car accidents and was involved in a skiing accident which percipitated the knee pain in December.

Recently, I found out through MRI that I have osteoarthritis and several bulging discs in my neck.

Could I be lyme free and just one unlucky person?

I really feel some thing is lingering on just not sure what.

I see one of the best. She is always looking for heavy metals, parasites, viruses etc.

Is you doctor looking for these things?

ART is one tool. You should still do conventional testing to validate CD57 and other Lyme testing to see if there is something that may be missed with the ART. I utilize ART to guide my journey and I do less conventional testing than I otherwise might, but I still do it to have additional information from which to draw conclusions. Personally I don't believe there is a "free" of Lyme and co-infections; just a "your body can deal with these better on its own now".

NanaDubo yes he does.

Scott good point. My ART Dr. which is Dr. N, which you know him is quite good.

I think I'll look at another Dr. Agreed 100%, I also don't believe I'm free of lyme or co-infections.

SForsgren...I agree with your last line above...after the infection is

treated and at a manageable state what's left in terms of symptoms

may be separate but related problems , such as candida , parasites

heavy metals , intestinal issues...which do require their own

treatment...side effects, if you will, as opposed to "symptoms !

I have read the CD57 test is not always accurate but it is all we

have ( as far as I know ) to determine presence of infection...so

that would be a good place to start and then look at and test for

other issues , treating one at a time...if there is any problem with

the body being unable to deal with and eliminate toxins then

that has to be dealt with first I believe...so beefing up the

immune , lymphatic and digestive systems are key...just my 2

cents worth...Tickalert...being that you have sustained much

trauma to your body with the car accidents and fillings removed

etc...I would think some of your "symptoms" may be related to

those...but the CD57 would be helpful to you now...would you

pm me your ART practitioner you guys/gals above ? THX !

@tickalert - You don't necessarily have to find a new doctor. Just explain that you want to see additional indication via conventional tests that it is no longer an issue. I have the utmost respect for your doctor and would see him myself if I were in your area. I doubt he would be against lab testing if you requested it.

ART is not perfect! I've experienced inaccurate results from ART on more than one occasion.

Things that can interfere with accurate results:

* Backwards polarity
* Practitioner sick with same thing they're testing patient for...
* Significant fatigue, in patient &/or practitioner
* Improper technique (less of an issue with experienced ART practitioners)
* Proximity to EMF's

It might be good to discuss these issues with the ART practitioner. Hopefully, they will acknowledge the possibility of inaccurate results due to one (or more) of the above things (or other things I haven't listed)...

In addition to all of the above, which are good points, trust your own sense of what is going on. If you feel like you are not finished dealing with the infections (and it sounds like you are most likely right), then trust that! And, yes, doing regular blood tests, etc. are important, too, even though not perfect.

I have heard of drs saying too often that someone is "free of Lyme," etc., or "in remission," when it is clear to the patient and to friends that they are not. You know your body better than any dr will.
