So I started a new treatment protocol a couple days ago and on the second day I started getting headaches that last all day and fluctuate in intensity. Also, an increase in cognitive dysfunction and a bit of nausea.
I have never herxed on any other treatment (which I've been in for over a year).
One of the meds my doctor also prescribed is Fludrocortisone, which is to help with my orthostatic hypotension/pots (dizziness upon standing) and get more blood to my brain.
One of the side effects of this med is a constant headache. How would I know which is causing my symptoms, a herx or a reaction to this med?
Also, doesn't it make sense that if this med increases blood flow to the brain then it's sending more bacteria and toxins in my bloodstream to my brain?

You wouldn't "herx" on fludrocortisone. But I wonder why the dr didn't try cortisol first? I think you have fewer side effects with it.
I couldn't stand taking the fludro because it made me RAVENOUSLY hungry. I decided I'd rather be dizzy. And the dizziness went away with babesia treatment. They messed up my TTT so we didn't know for sure if I had POTS.
I don't know about your last question.
