Last night we went to a dinner party and I ended up eating dessert...what a mistake. Today I feel this "hung over" state even though I didn't drink.
I start off the morning well and then mess up w/ food as the day goes on. I know I am craving the bad stuff because of the yeast overgrowth and have to be strong and get through a few days of a restricted diet in order to improve.
I am reading conflicted info about what you can and cannot eat.
I thought you could basically eat unprocessed seets/nuts, meat, fish, poultry and veggies,
But I have also read you can eat almond butter (that could really help w/ my PB fix if it is true) frozen fruits (not sure why frozen vs. fresh) like berries.
I have been detoxing w/ lemon but read on one site to avoid lemons if you have yeast issues...so confused!
Is there a comprehensive list of what to eat that someone could direct me too?
Any advice about what works for those of you who are following a yeast free diet.
I need things to be simple and easy. Thank you!!

Well, I just know that I do better staying away from food in general.
to help myself feel full I drink a lot of Yerba MAte tea,
then, at night, I eat lots of pickles, have some yogurt, (but the yogurt makes me really sick, pain, and much worse in general, that I gave that up too)
I eat a couple of carrots,
sometimes I have purreed soup,
I take 6 x 60 billion probiotics per day , just in case,
I eat tuna, salmon,
I won't even touch wheat products,
It's not about what I can't have, it's about what causes me to feel like crap and to have absolute tortuous pain!
I had a milkshake yesterday, and now I have been bedridden all day.
I used to eat pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds etc. and the munching would make me feel full.
I would eat saurekraut and drink the juice.
Then I eat one apple or orange per day.
So it's tea all day, until about 8pm, then I have pickles, seeds, and orange, and apple then to bed!
All the meds that I am on now, help me feel full.
I also drink coffee with Almond milk and have had no adverse effects.

DIET, DIET, DIET is the key. Then, be sure to follow the 5 step plan outlined below. It was developed by my naturopath. It works.
"Successful control and elminiation of a Candida Albicans overgrowth requires a multifaceted program as described below. Failure to follow ALL the steps simultaneously will result in slow progress and will lengthen healing time significantly. The program should be tailored to the individual and must balance the need to eliminate the Candida and deprive it of its food source while insuring proper nutrition for the individual."
Five Steps to Candida Elimination:
1. You must starve it into submission by eliminating its food source.
2. You must kill it with anti-fungal herbs and supplements. [e.g....garlic, onion, caprylic acid, Pau D'Arco capsules or tea, clove, grapefruit seed extract, olive leaf extract, oil of oregano, tea tree oil, Echinacea, Goldenseal, black walnut, MSM, barberry root, uva ursi, neem leaf, biotin]
3. You must reestablish the proper balance and quantity of probiotic bacteria in the digestive tract. [...multi-strain lactobacillus acidophilus and bifidus capsules with FOS should be taken between meals to maximize repopulation of the digestive tract by beneficial bacteria.]
4. You must reestablish proper levels of all B vitamins (yeast free) and utilize other immune enhancing supplements to boost immune system function. [e.g ... B complex vitamins (yeast free), biotin, beta 1-3 glucan, colostrum, maitake mushroom, vitamins A, C, E, zinc and selenium]
5. You must cleanse and heal the digestive tract to promote proper elimination of toxins and Candida and assimilation of nutrients. [e.g...chlorophyll, MSM, omega 3 fatty acids found in flax seed and salmon oils, GLA found in borage, evening primrose and black currant oils. Pantothenic acid, digestive enzymes between meals]

Avoid all fruits until you get this under control. Lemons and grapefruits are OK... see list above. Granny Smith apples are OK in moderation.
Almond butter is OK if it isn't loaded with sugar.
