The matzo is made out of wheat and water. I know it is not gluten free, but it is yeast free.

OH .. same thing.

I read the recipe and thought they used the potatoes for the dumplings. Anyway, any white foods can grow yeast.

Hey Gatorade Girl. We found gluten free matzo this year for my daughter. I don't think I would try regular wheat matzo.

My daughter really likes the gluten free.

Where can you find gluten-free matzo? Brand name, where is it available? I would love to know. Thanks!

As for matzo on the Candida diet, no. Any breads, crackers, etc are all starches. Particularly the white flour products will convert to sugar in the body, and feed yeast.

However it's Passover as Lymetoo said. I would think that to go moderately with only occasional indulgences shouldn't hurt, unless there is a violent allergy or an extremely severe Candida infection. Listen to your body's responses, if the occasional indulgence doesn't cause symptoms, you are probably fine.

Chiquita, we got ours at our local Whole Foods Market. My daughter has the box with her and she's spending a few days away from home so I can't tell you who makes it.

I do know that it came from Israel. I'll try to remember and post the info when she comes home.
